ANDY EVANS

Andy's first studio experience was tagging along to a Tweed Harris jingle session at Eatons Studios in Melbourne with his Aunt, Julie McKenna, who was a popular session vocalist.

Being drawn in by the whole experience he sought further opportunities, and while on mid semester break from studying at Melbourne University managed to secure a 2 week internship at what was then the famous AAV Music Studios, soon to become Metropolis Audio.

Home to countless classic Australian recording artists such as Australian Crawl, Split Enz and Little River Band, an unexpected vacany arose at the studio and Andy was offered a full time position as the studio runner mid way through the two weeks. He immediately dropped out of University and took up the position that would set the path for the rest of his career.

Following Metropolis he accepted a position with renowned screen composer Peter Sullivan of

"Up There Cazaly" fame, working as Peter's recording engineer and assistant music arranger.

Peter's generous nature passed on the skills that would lead to Andy stepping out as a screen composer in his own right.

Taking up as Music Director of Good Audio Sense in 1995, Andy formed his sound production company Musik und Design (MUD) and spent the next 15 years composing and mixing music for commercials and film scores.

In 2003 he formed Low Frequency Occupation with his brother Glen and they were promptly signed to Festival Mushroom Records, releasing their album "Preoccupied" in 2004. Their debut single 'Back to you' reached number 9 on the ARIA charts and was licensed as the Them for Arena TV on Foxtel. Following the album the brothers signed with Encompass Management (now Artist Entertainment Group) as producers  working for other artists, most notably co-writing and producing a US number one with famed Baltimore artist/DJ Ultra Nate.

Andy began working under the moniker "Striclove" and released singles featuring Zan (vocalist with I'm Talking, U2 and INXS) as well as producing remixes for Beyonce, Angie Stone and Kylie Minogue.

In 2015 he joined JAM Sound as a sound designer and post production mixer, a field he now continues to focus on with his own production company Musik Und Design, servicing both local and international clients via the web from his studio in Melbourne, Australia
